Maison Mère is a type design studio based between Copenhagen (DK) and Lund (SE), founded in 2020 by Clara Jullien Isaksson.
Born in Provence, Clara studied Applied Arts at the prestigious École Estienne in Paris, where she graduated with honors from a Type & Design Master’s degree in 2015.
After moving to Scandinavia and working with leading design agencies in the Copenhagen region, she launched Maison Mère to create exclusive typefaces for clients worldwide.
Maison Mère is the result of years of partnerships, collaborations, and late nights—now established as a foundry in 2026.
We focus on creating unique, well-crafted typefaces, always bringing an element of surprise into the letter shapes. We are thorough and passionate, ensuring the product you receive is of the highest quality, both in design and technical execution.
Our retail catalogue is designed with fellow designers in mind, offering distinctive voices that bring uniqueness to brand identities.
